How long have you been taking photos?
A very long time! I started taking photos when I was 7 with a Box Brownie Kodak Camera. I still get a buzz every time I pick up a camera.
How many weddings have you photographed?
My first wedding gig was in 1997. Since then I've photographed over 1,000 weddings
How long do you stay?
My half day package includes 4 hours coverage, starting with the ceremony. My full day package is 8 hours coverage, for most weddings this covers bridal prep through to the first dance.
I hate having having my photo taken and I'm very nervous can you help?
Don't worry, helping brides relax is my superpower. My style is to be unobtrusive, so I'll be very low key and you won't even know I'm taking most of the photos. I'm used to nervous brides and will help you look your best if you ask me to take any posed shots
How many photos will you supply?
Every wedding is different and the final number of photos will depend on things like the coverage you've chosen, and how many guests you have. I believe in quality over quantity. I want to take photos that really capture your day and tell your story - photographs with emotion and expression, of moments and memories
How will we get them?
I'll send the photos by we transfer, straight from my computer to your computer. I've found this to be the best way, as you get to see all the all photos without waiting for post or third party galleries
Do you edit the photos?
Yes, I shoot in digital RAW format and edit every photo. Most edits are a very light tweak with a few adjustments here and there.
When do we get the photos
I shoot a limited number of weddings, so I can give your wedding the attention it deserves. I know you'll be excited to see the photos, so I'll be editing the photos ready for your return from honeymoon, so two weeks after your wedding the photos will be ready for you
Do you supply albums and prints?
Yes, I've used the same professional lab since I started. They used to develop all my film prints, so they know what looks good and the quality that's needed. Although I supply the digital files so you can print the images yourself, if you would like me to help with prints, enlargements, and albums, please just ask
How do we pay you?
You pay half before the wedding and the balance after the wedding when I send the photos
Do you do pre-wedding meetings?
Yes - in fact I insist on them. In my experience I've found the more I know about you and your wedding, the ideas you have and what's important to you, the better I can photograph it for you. A face to face meeting is the best way to get know one another so I can do the best for you
Do you do engagement shoots?
Yes - engagement photo shoots are a great way to help you relax in front of the camera on the big day. If you're interested just ask and we can go through options together.
Do you use film or digital?
Both. I started out shooting weddings on film. I switched to digital in 2007 and I use digital formats for my professional commercial photography, but I still have my film camera for personal projects, and if you'd like to get the authentic film look for your wedding just ask. As the cost of film and processing changes frequently I quote on an individual basis

I have professional and public liability insurance and I'm dbs checked
Do you do smoke bomb photos?
NO No No. and I don't do grooms clicking heels, heart shaped group shots, bridal party linking arms and walking towards the camera, either. There are lots of many talented photographers who offer this style, but unfortunately it's not for me....
Anything else
The most important question is are we a good fit - do you like my style and will we get on. As a wedding photographer, I'll be with you throughout the day, so it's important you're comfortable and relaxed while I'm around. Most of the time I will melt into the background and become part of the scenery, but you still want to know you're in good hands
